Book Clubs
In addition to providing books and a space to meet for local, private book clubs,
the Hopewell Public Library currently hosts a few regular book clubs.
the Hopewell Public Library currently hosts a few regular book clubs.
The HPL Book Club chooses one book a month from both contemporary and classic fiction and nonfiction of all types. Led by volunteers, the group suggests, discusses, and votes to decide on the books for the upcoming year.
The HPL Book Club's current selection is The Book of Two Ways The book club meets in the library on first Tuesday of every month (unless otherwise noted), from 6:30 to 8:00 pm or online via zoom. Call or email the library for more information. |
For each meeting, the Cookbook Club chooses a cookbook – classic, new, hot, or obscure. Each member cooks one dish from the book and brings it to the library so everyone can sit down together and discuss the book while eating a feast from the book’s recipes. Cooking has ranged from Julia Child to vegetarian to soul food and beyond.
Meets on a Tuesday evening every other month or so, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Advanced registration is requested. Copies of the current books are available for perusal. |

The bullet journal book club is currently on hiatus. Please contact us at [email protected] if you are interested!

Bullet journals can act as a planner, give you space for your calendars and task lists, allow you to write personal reflections, and track your habits, moods, and goals. They can do as much (or as little) as you'd like. Need a sketchbook? Use a bullet journal! Want a reading log? Use a bullet journal! Need to budget, meal plan, keep a media list, track your exercise, or keep a casual scrapbook? You can! The possibilities are endless.
The School Planner Edition will do everything the adult program does, with a focus on creating personalized calendars for class and extracurricular schedules, keeping track of homework, and collecting notes and inspiration! If you have any questions, please call the library at (609) 466-1625 or email [email protected]. |
