HPL Staff and Volunteers
Library Volunteers
The Hopewell Public Library could not stay open without the dedicated volunteers who work beside the staff on every shift, helping patrons, shelving books, assisting with programs, and doing special projects.
Volunteers shifts can last from two to five hours per week. Over time, each volunteer is trained on the shelving system, the library software, opening and closing procedures, covering books, and assisting patrons with computers and other equipment.
There are also special events and projects during the year where volunteers can assist in a more focused and specialized way.
