Using the HPL's Online Catalog

The HPL's Online Catalog allows patrons to browse the Library's physical items (books, DVDs, etc.). It can be accessed here.

You do not have to log in to search for materials. To search:

• Type your search terms (e.g., "Mark Twain", "Historical fiction", or "War and Peace") into the "Search" box at the top of the screen. Then, hit "Go".
  
• If your search returns too many results, click the "Search" pull-down menu and select "Title", "Author", or "Subject" and hit "Go". Only for books with the Title/Author/Subject you selected.
  • Alternatively, you can also click the filters on the left sidebar to narrow your search.
• To place an item on hold, so that you can pick it up at the front desk, hit the "Place hold" button. You will be prompted to log in.
  • If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it using the "Forgot your password?" link.
  • If you have forgotten your username, contact the library and we can retrieve it for you.
